Play 2007!

Oh my god i had such an awesome time! This is the second Play festival i've gone to and it just gets better and better every year! the rain was a bit of a downer on thursday but it didn't hinder the fun! The people were great and i was so pleased i got to meet lots of people that i'd met on HoP in the flesh! Seeing those i already knew again was fantastic too - twas very nice indeed :D The workshops this year were very well done - i got to learn so many amazing new moves! With poi i learn some flower hybrids and straightjackets, with staff i learn the snez, steve, jesus roll, angel roll and matrix!! and then i learnt the odd bit here and there on my lunastix and other such things. yey for getting better!!! and let's not forget the hug workshops - genius! and then there was always those nipple tassles.... ;p the Shows were amazing!!!! (videos of them are on my media page). Chimaera were brilliant and it was great of them to put on their show for us in the pouring rain :) There were lots of fabulous acts - too many to mention! but i will just give a shout out to Joe Driscoll (amazing!!!) and Steve Mischief and his big balloon act - he crawled inside it and began bouncing around!!! extremely funny!! Oh, and i really enjoyed the HoP amateur performance competition, more than i thought i would cause i got talked into performing 3 hours before it started! and i was sh*tting myself about it and really wasn't looking forward to it at all! -Damn you Rob and your 'i can't say no to you' ability! but in the end i really enjoyed it. and the winning act, Chris, (yes yes, our very own former nottingham spinner, Chris) was hilarious with his barry white and juggling inuendos! ...least i think it was barry white.. i was still sh*tting myself at this point cause i was on next and not paying much attention to much- but it was a great performance!
