Unfortunately I won't be down :( blame the mountain of coursework i have to get done...everything is sort of winding up rapidly at college and i don't have a lot of time at the moment to concentrate on spinning, in fact i haven't done any this winter - I WANT MY LIFE BACK!! but anyway, i should have more time after easter and hopefully the BJC can rekindle my spinning and give me lots of new moves to practice :) and besides - the weather is horribly depressing today! sorry G, i really wanted to sneak off with your hyperlights when you weren't looking but instead i'm stuck to my computer. Bring on summer!!!!!!!

And finally...
Hyperlights have come to Nottingham. After a few months of waiting I am once again in posession of a prototype version of the Hyperlight glow poi :) I will be bringing them down to Fire night tomorrow (17th) if anybody would like to see what they're actually like.

Hyperlight Update
The day of completion for Hyperlights draws ever closer. For those of you who don't already know Jon has recently finished the design for the casing which now looks like this. He will be receiving final prototypes shortly in order to check that things fit where they're supposed to after which they should be ready for production. In light of this Jon has set up a sign up page to register your interest in purchasing a pair. The pagecan be found here.
If you haven't seen what Hyperlights can do there are a couple of videos on youtube which can be found here and here. Other than that I should be in possesion of an earlier pair of prototypes again soon which I will bring down to a meet at some point. If you have any technical questions Jon has a website which is www.hyperlight.co.uk and there are several trheads on Home of Poi under the Technical Discussion section.
The world is about to go Hyper :D
BJC PRE-REG!
The British Juggling Convention 2008 has started up its pre-registration service which offers discount tickets and the option to pre-order BJC merchandise! Pre'reg closes on January 31st so visit the site now to get you discount!

Tribe of Fundango is on again at the nottm uni portland building again on the 9th. I'm also hoping to arrange a special christmas fire meet with baked goodies, chocs and chrsitmas cheer alcoholness! More on this once i know more myself!
Awesome G! see you soon! The meet has done it's usual winter thing (no-one wanting to brave the cold *rolls eyes* ;p). But it's good to here you're back in town!
Back in Nottingham
Hi guys. So after just over a month and a half or so or galavanting around Europe and getting myself involved in lots of fun things I'm heading back to the UK (for a bit)
I will be back this Thursday although probably a little too late for the fire spin as my flight arrives at 23:00. Anyway, looking forward to being back and catching up with things.

Smit has been very busy making us a proper website! and it has a forum! nice one ;) www.fieldsoffire.co.nr
I'll still keep the wiki up to date cause i have too much spare time and need something to do :D

Hyperlights, the bestest, most colourful and bright glow poi ever (my opinion but i'm sure i'm not the only one ;) should be finally going on sale around october says mr Jon Hyperlight! New event this month!
Broxtowe youth factor juggling and music event! It's this saturday (14th) and is in the beeston square. I'll be helping out with some circus workshops and it'd be really great if people could come and join us to either help out or just spin and look good :) more details are on the events page.

Once more profiles and image pages are up and the site has got going i'll bulletin it on myspace and post it on the home of poi nottingham meets forum so the rest of the spinning community will know we're here and if any hoppers and/or non-hopper spinners are in the neighbouhood then they can join us for a spin!

The abysmal June weather has unfortunately prevented most fire meets from happenning - we're crossing our fingers for a dryer July!
