Welcome to the Nottingham Fields of Fire wikipage!Official Page: www.fieldsoffire.co.nr
The Nottingham Fields of Fire spinning group meets weekly to practice a variety of object manipulation performance skills. A cheerful, friendly atmosphere makes for an encouraging environment in which to learn, develop, improve upon and teach new skills to beginners and the experienced alike.
The fire meets are not exclusively for spinners "thank goodness - damn hippies!" i hear you say! :P Many people come down simply to socialise so even if you're not a spinner, come down - bring an instrument if you like - we have a lot of jembe drummers so if you've got one bring it down!
We always welcome new faces so if you feel like joining us you can find us every thursday (weather permitting - it's an outside venue) from 9 - 9:30ish in the evening onwards on the Forest Recreation Ground in Forest Fields (the Goose Fair Site) and we're usually on the large steps infront of the cafe. So if you're in the neighbourhood and feel like coming down, give us a heads up if you like on the aptly named heads up! page (also located on the discussion page). Check out the who's who page and hopefully you'll recognise some faces when you come down.
- If there is any news or information relating to the fire meet or topics relating to spinning events please feel free to add it to the news page.
- Not forgetting to add yourself to the profile page! - the who's who in the Fields of Fire group. When adding your profile page, go to 'who's who' and click the 'add a new page' link on the right hand side of the page (not the left! :)
- Also feel free to upload any media you like from the meet itself, festivals, or other events you want to share by creating your own image page! When adding your image page, go to the image index page and click on the 'add a new page' link on the right hand side (not the left! :)
- If there's something you feel the need to shout about or bring to the Fields of Fire's attention, please post it on the discussion page.
